Process purchase orders for items purchased, analyze prices, deliveries, negotiate contracts, issue RFQ’s, monitor and adjust PO’s and inventories in SAP/MRP system. Consult catalogs and interview suppliers to obtain best prices, review specifications, assess capabilities and vendor capacity. Work with identified vendors for improved delivery, quality, lead time, and price performance. Evaluate metrics with the critical suppliers regularly. Balance current and future demand requirements with supplier capabilities and capacities to ensure on-time delivery of purchased parts. Support the required lead times, cost reduction projects and improvement initiatives to achieve overall business objectives. Support shortage meetings when needed and expedites purchased items when required to meet shortfall between current plan and customer order requirements. Lead supplier reduction plans and supports transition to existing and/or new suppliers Analyzes data, including enterprise requirements planning information and prepares reports as needed to facilitate and recommend actions to ensure optimal supply chain execution. Maintain purchasing parameters in order execution in SAP systems to ensure proper order generation. Comply with plan safety procedures to ensure a safe environment
