After I matriculated in 2002, I was accepted at the University of Pretoria to study information technology. Unfortunately, no bursaries was given in that field and I could not afford to go there. I got accepted into ATTI where I got a scholarship. I studied Information Technology for 2 years and worked as a cashier at a supermarket when I had no classes. I got qualifications and for selected into a Learnership the Department of Education offered. It was for a year and I was placed at the offices of the Department of Health to work with the Managers there as I was part of the Project Management Learnership. I worked very closely with one of the Assistant Director's that was running her own programme. I was very involved in project planning, budgeting, and I was always part of the task teams. I also worked as a personal assistant to the manager and handled her dairy, arranged meetings, attended meetings and taking minutes. I also helped with the office management. Currently, I'm working at Galeshewe Day Hospital, Department of Health, Kimberley, South Africa, employed as a Senior Administration Clerk, level 5. I'm desperately looking for work where I can use skills, be challenged and grow more. I'm a single mother to an 11 year old son and the only breadwinner at home. My mother is sick and she is dependent on me. I'm currently at a place where there is no growth and no promotion in site.
