I am Candice, a freelance creative graphic designer, branding specialist and illustrator based in Surrey. I have spent many years in the advertising industry as an Art Director, graphic designer and studio manager (both in the UK and South Africa). I decided to go freelance when I had children so I could have a more balanced life with them.STUDIES + WORK EXPERIENCEI studied for three years at AAA School of Advertising in Johannesburg, where I graduated with a Higher Diploma in Visual Communication. Since then I have worked in the industry for 18 years in various agencies, both large and small and had the opportunity to work with many brands including NHS, Croydon Council, My Busy Bots, Super Drug, easyJet, CP+R, Lux, Oh So Heavenly, Axe, Sony, Sheet Street, Novartis, La Lucia Mall, Sony, Jenam, Donnington Manor Hotel, Mozart Ice-cream, Wellbeing Sisters, Colgate, Pfizer, Fintech, Roomlab and many more. As a solution provider I boast a wealth of experience across all media from brand identity and positioning, print and magazines, websites and digital through to environment branding and everything in between. I believe in collaborative working, developing strong (and fun) working relationships, to properly understand a clients’ needs, wants and objectives. I am flexible and adaptable in my approach as every business and brief is unique. Never one to miss a deadline, I work effectively and quickly to get things done. I am creatively charged, highly passionate and love to produce thought-based, beautiful and clever design.
