I advocate for residents in Evanston’s 15 nursing home settings. I investigate abuse and neglect allegations as well as rights violations. I educate the community and nursing home personnel about the Long Term Care Ombudsman Program. In my role as legislative committee chair of the Illinois Association of Long Term Care Ombudsman (IALTCO), I have drafted one bill, which was signed by Governor Pritzker in 2023. Additionally, I serve as Secretary of IALTCO. I serve as Vice President of the Illinois Pioneer Coalition and also serve as Regional Leader of the Chicago/Chicagoland chapter.

Acted in Administrator role at least once per week as Manager On Duty. Implemented policy and procedure during COVID regarding window visits and meal delivery. Conducted psychosocial assessments, BIMS assessments, and mental well-being assessments. Coordinated care plan conferences.
