Ya'ateeh (Greetings)! My name is Candice Tso and I am an enrolled member of Navajo Nation. I am a mother, wife, daughter, sister and auntie to my wonderful family. I’m currently pursing a Doctor of Social Work degree with the School of Social Welfare at the University of Kansas. In 2015, I earned my Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) degree from the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis. I received my Bachelor's of Arts degree in Indigenous and American Indian Studies and Associate's of Arts from Haskell Indian Nations University. In my professional role, I serve as a Grantee Technical Assistant with the Native Connection program and a SAMHSA Tribal Training & Technical Assistance (TTA) Coordinator with the SAMHSA TTA Center. In addition, I’ve been a Youth Mental Health First Aid Trainer since 2018 and continue to bring awareness on substance misuse, suicide prevention. and promoting mental health within our youth population and tribal communities.
