I liaise with our communications and student success Alumni Association Board committees to help organize our efforts and help us advance our mission of keeping students connected after they leave the university. Some of my favorite projects and successes:• Created BearTalks, a speakers bureau of volunteers who educate students and alumni on skills needed post-college• Instituted Dinner with Eight Bears networking program engaging 250 alumni volunteers and 900 students• Developed internships to assist with Dinner with Eight Bears and a nationwide service campaign• Coordinate the Speed Networking Event, developed in conjunction with the Career Center• Advise the Student Alumni Association, a student organization that helps advance our mission through university events, fundraising initiatives, and assisting at special events• Instituted the “Be a Bear” shirt program, raising over $45,000 for scholarships in six years Show less
