I love what I do. But at the end of the day, no matter my job title, people are the most important aspect of my work. Which, I guess, is why marketing is a natural fit. I make friends easily - it's just the way I was made - and I see marketing as brands making friends with their clients. People support people, not brands.And then there is the persnickety side of my nature, and the fact that if I'm having a good time then I'm doing a good job. It seems to add up to make working with me a strange combination of preciseness and fun.Brands I care about and work with tend to share at least a few of my loves; healthy living for busy moms, living consciously, supporting local, and building our beautiful country from the people, up. My foundation is in hospitality, having held a varied list of job titles in different types of restaurant over a 12-year period. It honed in me the ability to think on my feet, work under pressure with a smile, and an ability to affect an air of calmness in moments of chaos. During my reign at Pesto Princess, I unwittingly began using my love for people, food, writing and photography to build a brand for myself. Kathleen, the owner of the company, spotted it, and encouraged me to jump the nest and fly.And The Social Post was born. It started with me managing social media marketing for brands, and has led me to creating strategic content for a bunch of really cool brands.
