Formerly a medical practitioner, I have spent the better part of a decade developing and implementing marketing communications and brand strategy for some of Australia's leading healthcare and pharmaceutical brands. My current focus is on the delivery of high-level strategic insights that help improve the quality and effectiveness of healthcare marketing, medical communications and medical education. I often work with a brand from the time of its launch, developing brand and communications strategy and planning tactical programs (and their creative execution) across the entire product lifecycle.I maintain specialty expertise in pharmaceutical marketing and over the past 18 years, I have worked with many local affiliates including Biogen, Bristol-Myers Squibb, GlaxoSmithKline, CSL, Celgene, Eisai, Ipsen, AstraZeneca, Smith&Nephew and Ypsomed. I designed and developed Australia’s first pharma-sponsored home infusion program to support the local launch of a biologic agent.More broadly in the healthcare space, I have worked with the National Clinical Evidence Taskforce, AMA, APNA, RACGP, Dairy Australia, Alfred Health, Austin Health, Baker IDI, Circadian Technology, GBMA, Newlife IVF, Vision Eye Institute and Victorian Integrated Cancer Services. I maintain a particular interest in building the profile of professional peak bodies and consumer health groups that help raise disease awareness and support our healthcare workforce.I am a regular contributor to the Wellmark blog and a guest blogger for the UK's leading forum for healthcare professionals, pharmaphorum. I also contribute to and manage Wellmark’s social media presence.
