Downsize with Purpose (DWP) worked with individuals to get rid of things which they no longer want, need or have room for. We made our clients feel good about disguarding their things by working to realize as much financial gain as possisble through sales and then directing what cannot be sold to charitable and recycling organizations. Our goal is to keep things out of the landfill by working to get our clients' unwanted goods to people who need them or resources that will recycle, reuse, or repurpose them. Our goal is redistribution . . . moving what our clients don't need to where it is needed and can be used. That is the "purpose" in DWP.We work directly with individuals who are downsizing themselves as well as with those who are handling the task for relatives or after a death. Each situation is different, and we can do as much or as little as the client desires.

Later moved to the Continental Bank Foundation where focus was on reviewing requests for funding from small arts groups, hospitals and community development organizations; also managed The Money Center at the Museum of Science and Industry, which was sponsored by Continental Bank; finally took on role of editor of bi-weekly employee newsletter "Coinage."
