This was such a rewarding position, too. And I love matching people up with the perfect home for their wants and budgets. It was incredible.

Providing custom built homes, land/home packages, assisting in construction procedures/paperwork, spec'g homes for individuals, lining out finance and selling, selling, selling. Lining out general contractors, subcontractors, budget engineering, client negotiations, change orders.

There was no part of business that my partner and I did not handle together while owning and managing Ellison construction. Of course, my sales experience came into play, lining up more business than we could keep up with. We hired and hired and hired, trained employees and grew in leaps and bounds from DAY 1. We did everything from permitting to excavation to utility installation to foundations to home building and set-up. We lined out financing, helped clients do everything to make their "raw land" their new homestead. Clerical duties accompanied our great customer service, as well. We manned the phones, did all the necessary bookwork, invoicing, collections, payroll, taxation, product ordering, maintaining equipment, and all the while bringing in more and more referrals and more and more work. The success of this company is what took over our lives to the point that even vacations were spent working. We lived and breathed our business. We loved our customers and took care of them, just as we would want to be taken care of if it were our own personal project. It was a beautiful experience and one that was definitely rewarding for my business partner and I. It afforded us so much useful business experience and knowledge, as well as giving us a reputation for being the best of the best. There was overlap with being a General Contractor/Business Owner and Selling Homes During these years in our lives.
