Salesforce acquired Sequence in February, 2017, so just like that I was a part of Salesforce Customer Success Group. I started my full-time career focusing on front-end engineering at Sequence. I was in charge of researching, designing, and building two internal applications. Both saved employees hours of their week totaling over $50k in saved expenses for the company. I was incredibly fortunate to be a part of such a well-run agile development team. Jumping into the world of project management taught me a lot in a short amount of time, from dealing with the politics to tight deadlines. Diving into the tech capitol of the world was a phenomenal experience, both inside and outside of work. During this internship I truly fell in love with programming and knew that I wanted to pursue frontend engineering. My classmate and I started a music recommendation system built around Spotify's Discover Weekly concept years before Discover Weekly was released. We were amongst 15 companies accepted into the University of Waterloo's Enterprise Co-op program. We ultimately didn't stick with the project since school and internships stole our attention.
