• Leading design and development studies of foundation brake and brake components by using CAD and CAE tools (Solidworks, Catia V5, Ansys Mechanical and Ansys Fluent). • Leading vehicle braking dynamics calculations to ensure optimized vehicle performance.• Leading design and packaging studies of foundation brake at the wheel-end for new projects. • Leading and managing weight and performance optimization and cost reduction studies of foundation brake and brake components.• Leading and supporting Product Design & Development Engineers in communicating component design details.• Working together with the Test & Validation Team to establish and control design, release, development and validation plans. • Leading product specific, DVP, DFMEA, CAE reports, design review documents and project documentation required for functional risk assessment on ongoing projects.• Coordination with internal departments to develop braking products concurrently that meet cost, reliability and manufacturing objectives.• Communication with customers on all projects related matters. • Reviewing and managing the engineering concerns related with field problems.• Leading and supporting Product Design & Development Engineers in preparing scientific articles regarding R&D and P&D activities.• Leading patent research and patent applications regarding R&D and P&D activities.

R&D Center

• Perform engineering design, development of foundation brake and brake components by using CAD and CAE tools (Solidworks, Catia V5, Ansys Mechanical and Ansys Fluent). • Perform vehicle braking dynamics calculations to ensure optimized vehicle performance.• Design and packaging studies of foundation brake at the wheel-end for new projects. • Conduct weight and performance optimization and cost reduction studies of foundation brake and brake components.• Preparing product specific DFMEA, CAE reports, design review documents and project documentation for ongoing projects.• Communicate with team members and customers on all projects related matters. • Preparing scientific articles regarding R&D and P&D activities.• Conduct patent research and preparing patent applications regarding R&D and P&D activities.

Customer Relations Management

• Lead and coordinate the technical development team. • Ensure successful execution of all tasks of product development within the scope of the functional quality and time objectives as agreed with the customer. • Prepare and maintain detailed technical project plans in alignment with customer relations manager and engineering disciplines. • Support the definition of technical concepts. • Monitor and control milestones, deliverables and resources. • Collect, negotiate and maintain technical customer requirements. • Lead technical risk assessments and implement lessons learned and best practices. • Support project status reporting with complete product development inputs. • Provide input for technical product strategy. • Act as technical interface towards customers.

Engineering Services

• Perform engineering design using CAD and CAE softwares (Catia, ANSYS, Abaqus and Wheel Strength) according to customer design requirements.• Understand customer basic requirements and expectations for new product design and improved designs.• Maintain records of all activities and results in CAE project database.• Participate in design review meetings to provide appropriate recommendations.• Communicate with team members and customers on all projects related matters.• Provide timely design guidance and support to team to meet customer requirements.• Assist management in establishing and updating project plans and priorities.

R&D Center

• Technical responsibility for all aspects of service brake, parking brake and air suspension systems of commercial and defence industry vehicle programmes. • Design, development of components and systems; perform brake calculations to ensure optimized vehicle performance.• Design and packaging studies of components and system for new projects and preparing their technical drawings.• Preparing system layouts.• BOM definition and management.• Development of new brake technologies with suppliers for implementation of future projects and platforms.• Establish and control system and component, design, release, development and validation plans.• Review and manage the opening and closure of engineering concerns.• Participating homologation tests of new commercial vehicle projects.

R&D Center

• Design of brake, brake components and test fixtures using CAD and CAE tools (SolidWorks, Catia V5 and Ansys Mechanical) and preparing their technical drawings.• Performing topology optimization studies of brake components using CAE software (Genesis GTAM).• Performing 3D measurement and reverse engineering studies of brake and brake components using 3D metrology software (Polyworks).• BOM definition and management.• Project leader of Z-Cam drum brake project of Ford Otosan.• Preparing proposal, technical report and presentation for Tübitak Teydeb incentive projects.

Project And R&D Department

• Performing mechanical design of dry type and oil immersed type transformers using CAD and CAE softwares (Autodesk Inventor and Ansys Mechanical) and preparing their detailed manufacturing drawings.• Calculating dry and oil immersed transformers' electrical losses (core loss, ohmic losses, eddy current losses and stray losses) and short circuit forces using CAE software of Ansys Maxwell. • Performing CFD simulations (heat transfer, natural and forced convection problems) of dry and oil immersed transformer using CAE tools of Ansys Fluent and Ansys CFX.• Conducting seismic simulations of dry type transformers (earthquake response spectrum simulations) using Ansys Structural. • Preparing proposal, technical report and presentation for Tübitak Teydeb incentive projects.
