Oversee procurements and review program performance and financial reporting. Assist with analysis, grant/contract management, budgeting, and reporting. Ensure efficient and accurate financial reporting and adherence to contract compliance. Act as County liaison with service providers and ensure that program regulations and procedures are followed. The Alameda County Public Health Department (ACPHD) serves 1.67 million residents through 21 locations, covering 14 cities and 6 unincorporated communities.

Led Momentum’s intensive Advanced Course Training Seminars and dynamic Leadership Programs for thousands of participants designed to have them break away from their past and experience themselves as part of a high-performance team.Developed and implemented capacity-building efforts to ensure sustainable organizational growth from 2 employees to a team of 8, growing Momentum’s client base by at least two-thirds and expanding its geographic reach to two additional cities: Long Island and Los Angeles.  Designed administrative/intake systems, including documentation requirements, and confidentiality protocols and agreements. Developed program assessment guidelines and evaluation tools to effectively measure participant satisfaction, learning outcomes, behavior change, and trainer performance. Led overall communications and marketing efforts fostering a closer bond with Momentum's audience and graduates and strengthening its overall brand identity through a complete website redesign, development of all promotional materials, and organization of a new streamlined email marketing system to promote all future training and events as well as manage all alumni/volunteer engagement.Worked on the update and redesign of Momentum’s primary trainings and pricing structure resulting in a 20% increase in client retention into Momentum‘s secondary and tertiary-level seminars.

Managed multi-year federal, New York State, and privately funded HIV prevention contracts for GMHC. Led two departments with a total of sixteen staff. Responsible for the oversight of service delivery, grant reporting, quality assurance, and budget management for contracts. Led the implementation of research-based individual, group, and community-level HIV prevention interventions. Develop proposals to support and expand the departments funding base. Implemented capacity-building initiatives for GMHC staff. Responsible for citywide video, print, and web-based HIV and substance use prevention campaigns.

Development of content, design, and production of social marketing Campaigns and materials. Responsible for several large-scale community-wide events like the annual Latex Ball at Roseland Ballroom with thousands of youth in attendance each year. Developed HIV prevention, harm reduction, and health awareness campaigns. Managed formative and evaluative community-based research to inform the creation of campaigns and community events. Served as a liaison, forging relationships with community-based organizations and other partners to support the work of GMHC.

Managed prevention programs encompassing individual and group counseling sessions, health education, and other risk reduction interventions. Responsible for the coordination and implementation of the Latino Youth In Action program targeting Latino youth. Facilitated targeted focus groups with Latino young MSMs and Transgender populations. Supervised staff members and volunteers. Coordinated outreach strategies and represented the agency in planning meetings including local community advisory boards. Ensured that contractual obligations were met and prepared monthly and annual reports for funders.

Managed $2,300,000 in contracts including the Prevention for HIV Infected Persons Program (PHIPP) which aimed to: increase the number of individuals at high risk who know their serostatus; assist infected individuals in accessing medical care; and assist HIV-positive persons in reducing risk behaviors, while enhancing their overall health. Monitored expenditures and prepared budget modifications; ensuring accuracy and compliance with reporting data requirements; provided technical assistance to contractors and conducted detailed inspections during on-site visits.

Provided agency-wide capacity building and technical assistance. Conducted quality improvement activities and led comprehensive staff training. Developed criteria and indicators to assess needs and determine progress. Assisted with ongoing budgetary modifications and provided documentation to account for all program-related expenditures.
