Nikhil is an accomplished tax professional with over 16 years of in-depth experience of Indian Corporate Tax, international taxation, Individual Tax, Goods and Services tax (GST) and State Taxes.In his present role, he is leading tax function of Max Healthcare Institute Limited and group companies. Max healthcare has network of 17 super-specialty hospitals with turnover exceeding INR 7000 crores. He has worked on some industry first tax friendly corporate structuring framework. Earlier, he was manager with KPMG India and managed some of key accounts. He helped various businesses to successful transition to Goods and Service tax regime, set-up tax compliance framework and effectively comply with vast India tax reporting and compliance requirements. He has been part of various tax teams advising businesses on merger and acquisition. Nikhil is also a tax technology enthusiastic and was Advisor on one of largest Analytical Project for Central Board of Indirect Tax & Customs "CBIC". He posses good understanding of Data analytics and visualization tools ("R", Posidex, Neo4j, 3CE, tableau). Prior to this, he led PVR Cinema's tax function. As tax head, he helped PVR and subsidiaries to smoothly transition to Goods and Services Tax without any operational disruption. He set-up tax compliance function for Corporate Taxes, transfer pricing, Goods and services taxes, Service tax, 20+ States VAT/sales tax, managed these taxes and defended various tax disputes. Also, he managed to reduce overall tax outlay by effectively getting favorable advance rulings and tax efficient corporate re-structuring
