    Director of the College of Dentistry's major outreach component which is known as the OHIO Project (Oral Health Improvement through Outreach) and is integrated into the dental education curriculum. The OHIO Project involves placing senior dental students in community dental clinics throughout the state of Ohio. Students provide basic dental care to undeserved populations where access to care is a public health issue. Also Director of the Dental H.O.M.E. Coach (Health Outreach Mobile Experience) a unique teaching and service delivery model offering dental care to undeserved children in the Columbus City Schools and surrounding areas. The Coach is a state of the art, three chair, highly advanced technological unit which is a dental office on wheels. Both the OHIO Project and the Dental H.O.M.E. Coach provide students with service-learning opportunities and situations to assist them in working toward cultural competence in the health care profession and sensitivity to diverse populations.
