I am the Membership Manager - West for this collegiate buying group. We represent 620 member stores and have approximately 132 vendor partners. We are the largest buying group in the college store industry. My position is to recruit and maintain the membership for the College Bookstores that are in my territory. That area (with a couple of exceptions) is west of the Mississippi River.Responsibilities:Maintain and establish relationships with all current member stores in my territoryRecruit new stores for membershipAttend and present during educational sessions at national, state and regional trade eventsKeep current on all trends pertaining to the college bookstore industryConsult with stores on new ideas for merchandising, sales and marketing
