Hello there! I spread myself across 3 major facets of interest; Sales, School, and Video Game Development. What does sales have to do with with game dev? A few things, but as far as I can tell, creativity is the strongest link. As a summer sales representative for Aptive Environmental Pest Control, I am able to work only part of the year, while the other 8 months are open for me to finish school and play around in my passion, game development.I have 2 years of door knocking sales experience, the first of which was with Environment Oregon, a non-profit environmental lobbyist organization that provided an environment for me to develop my raptor-building skills and find confidence in a sales position. This summer I went above and beyond selling for Aptive Environmental pest control. As a rookie in the company, I topped the charts as the number one seller for a day my fourth week on the job, selling over 9k ni a day. I continued to perform exceptionally and consistently remained within the top 40 out of thousands of experienced sales reps for the remainder of my 14 week summer. I generated $151,346 in revenue in 81 working days. I'm being invited back next year as a team leader, and could not be more excited to push myself to do even better next summer. In the meantime, I am returning to Oregon State to finish my Marketing Degree, join the sales club, and continue my involvement in the OSU Video Game Development Club which I am currently vice president. As a member of the game dev club I participate in game jams, build actual video games, advice, lead a team, and facilitate creative discussions about video game development. I am also currently on a team of four amazing game developers working on our first launch title "Paletteer" a 2D puzzle platformer originally designed as a portfolio piece, and now a career launching title for the four of us.
