After ten glorious years at Treasury Wine Estates, I am heading off on my next adventure. There are far too many people inside TWE and outside to thank, who over the years have assisted, helped, laughed, tasted, drank and enjoyed with and for me. However, collectively I want to say thank you all and individually. In your own special way you have all made the last ten years amazing, help me grow, learn, and experience so much. There are innumerable statistics I could quote, such as wines tasted, emails written or miles flown from the last decade, but what I cannot quantify is the truly wonderful connections and enduring friendships that will stay with me long past my last day at TWE. At a time of year that is about human connection and family and with various global hardship and troubles, I am going out of here celebrating all that is wonderful about humanity and you all have yourselves to thank for that.Finally, I am grateful for the amazing wine that I have encountered in the past ten years, at the end of the day I am a wine person, it has been my vocation and passion now for over 24 years. As Tom Waits said “I’d rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy” and oh what a joy those bottles have been. Thank you TWE wine making and viticulture fraternity!
