Involved in sample preparation, analyzer operation, analyzer troubleshooting, and data review for urine drug of abuse testing to monitor patient compliance with a medication assisted treatment program using the following testing methods.- urine drug screening via an enzyme immunoassay with a high throughput clinical chemistry analyzer- In house definitive testing for an extensive panel of exogenous and endogenous substances as part of a drug of abuse test panel using tandem LC/MS/MS.Significant contributions:-As a lead toxicology technician, I developed and implemented training schedules to train fellow technicians on analyzer operation, troubleshooting, sample data and QC review. I also was the key operator for LCMS and primary tech to resolve problems within the lab. -Collaborated with the laboratory manager and fellow technicians to develop a more efficient way to reconcile sample orders and code for test panels. -Developed a sample tracking spreadsheet to act as a database for samples received from our other 35 clinics around the country to better identify samples received on site that required further testing. -Collaborated with the laboratory director to aid in instrument validation and set up of a sister lab for moderate and high complexity drug testing.
