Ever since I can remember I have been passionate about organisation and problem solving, so when I moved to London and was offered my first role in English examinations for the British Council, Cambridge & IDP, I realised that the perfect partnership had begun. I thrived on challenges such as preparing and running test days for IELTS (International English Language Testing System) and soon became Deputy Head of Exams, Clerical Marker and Invigilator Trainer.I was then offered a role in the fast paced and greatly expanding Exams Department in International House London. I moved quickly from Bristol Coordinator to Regional Coordinator when the school partnered into regional testing. It was a huge challenge which I excelled in, liaising with different teams across the UK and Ireland, auditing internal test venues and ensuring compliance and security across all teams while still running Central London IELTS tests.As the department grew so did the challenges, from procuring equipment for and setting up a new Computer Based Testing platform, to the creation of SELT IELTS for UKVI tests, both requiring me to work for and closely with the British Council and Cambridge. When I moved into the role of Regional Operations Manager, I was tasked with interviewing, forming and leading the departments’ first Customer Service Team. I acquired new skills in time management, professional development and human resources. Now living in Ireland, I am the Exams Coordinator – Ireland and Occupational English Test (OET) Venue Manager for International House London test venues in Ireland and the School Director of Louth English. Louth English is an English language and examinations school which is expanding rapidly. I am extremely excited to be bringing all of my skills and experiences to these businesses, especially in this constantly changing EFL industry.
