Provide engineering support to the US Air Force Air Education and Training Command in the acquisition of the new T-7 training aircraft and its corresponding ground based training system. Collaborate with the T-7 System Programming Office, the 19th Air Force and Boeing to ensure that the T-7 is being developed and tested per specification and on schedule. Generate engineering oriented reviews of contract data requirement lists (cdrl’s) to verify that the T-7 is being made to specifications and to identify any technical issues that would affect its performance or maintenance. Execute similar engineering reviews for the T-7’s ground based training system. Summarize and write reports on meetings that cover the overall status of the T-7 program and on meetings that detail the flight testing of the T-7 aircraft. • Reviewed 473 contract data requirement lists including 78 aircraft test plans, 9 major structural analyses, 16 control software interfaces and 3 primary subsystem interface control documents. • Found a probable solution to an engine install issue on the active test aircraft – a slight negative margin of safety on the forward engine attachment fittings as shown on a cdrl review. • Checked 15 technical orders that will later be used to guide Air Force technicians in maintaining the T-7. • Highlighted areas with less than 5% margin of safety on the major structural analyses to show areas of the aircraft most likely to need repair over the lifetime of the T-7. • Coalesced the review of contract data requirement lists, simplifying the workload on the rest of the T-7 team.
