Was responsible for coordinating all couples groups, singles groups, blended family groups, college groups, financial groups, and care groups (such as Family Recovery, Grief Recovery, etc.).Also responsible for writing training materials, as well as leading biannual training sessions for all group leaders. Training included the basics of being an effective leader of a group, as well as how to handle numerous situations and topics that may arise in a small group setting.In my time in the groups role, I helped to transform our groups format from 18-24 month open-ended small groups with paper registration to a semester-based approach with completely online registration. The church experienced 100 percent growth in the number of participants in groups within 24 months.Further, I directed our annual Marriage Retreat. When I began working with the retreat, we had only 25 couples attend each year. In my first year working with the event, we more than doubled attendance (to 51 couples), and increased to as high as 78 couples within three years. I coordinated and planned every detail for the retreat - location selection, featured speakers, rate negotiation for hotel rooms as well as food and beverage, musical guests, and worked closely with A/V team to determine needs for the weekend.
