In 2001 he co-founded Three Rings in San Francisco to create Puzzle Pirates which grew to build and operate a fleet of online games. Three Rings was acquired by SEGA in 2011, going on ship to a number of mobile and online titles. Daniel stepped down from the studio in 2014.In 2015 Daniel was recruited as Head of Social VR during Facebook's early forays into social virtual worlds.
