Greetings! I am all about people. No matter where I work, or what position I hold, I thrive on helping others, paying it forward, and going above and beyond what is required of me as an associate. I am enthusiastic about self- growth and development. I am constantly striving to be a better me every day. After obtaining my Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from California State University, Sacramento I was passionate about pushing forward to obtain more. Following my bachelors I earned my Masters of Social Work from Clark Atlanta University. I have worked with many different populations of people from child and adolescent, college-aged youth and adults and have loved every minute of my experiences. My mission is to continue using my life experiences, education, research, and resources to not only cultivate those around me to reach their greatest potential but to advocate and provide them with the necessary skills and tools needed to live out a safe and healthy lifestyle.Being a former Division 1 student-athlete and captain at California State University, Sacramento, I had the experience of leading, mentoring and providing emotional support to my teammates. I discovered throughout that time that if I focus on a person’s strengths (using the Strength-Based Approach), ultimately their strengths would build them up, giving them the confidence they need to perform at their best. And as a result, collectively build us as a team. I use that approach in my everyday interactions with the population I currently serve.I desire to be a part of an organization where REAL change happens. Where advocacy, diversity and inclusion are at the core of the company and where pride is developing people into their best selves.
