About Joseph Psaila
Started my career at the age of 15, as a deck boy/cadet and worked up my way through the ranks until I got Master Mariner certificate. 29 years of trade experience on different vessels, for major companies in the industry such as Virtu Ferries, Falzon Group, Songa, Transocean, Valaris & MCAST. During this time I been onboard Tankers, Tugs, CTVs, PSVs, HSCs, Ro-Ro – Pax, AHTS, Jack-Ups, Semi Submersibles, and Drill Ships. During my career I also spend some time as company Manager, DPA, CSO, Project Manager and lately in my time off as a maritime lecturer. Key strengths include vessel management and personnel coaching, working independently or in a team, vessel / rig dry dock project management, utilising industry best-practice and leading-edge technologies to deliver high performance standards by applying knowledge of industry regulations to motivate, obtain high level of performance and ensure HSE requirements are rigorously adhered to. Easily adaptable and accepting of change, thriving on exploring new challenges and achieving the required goals.
