I am one of the co-founder of DishariPrep, a student consulting firm based in Bangladesh with a vision to provide career counseling for students interested in studying abroad.With a robust foundation from Marine Academy, Chittagong, Bangladesh, I embarked on a maritime career that spanned across prestigious organizations such as Bangladesh Shipping Corporation, the Ocean Tramping Company (a Hongkong based company), under the stewardship of Barber Ship Management (Norway), culminating in a leadership role at ETA, Dubai. My journey through the ranks to Captain allowed me, not only, to take command a diverse vessel types, but also hone my situational analysis, problem solving abilities and develop my ability to interpret international regulations and how to maintain their standards.Throughout my marine career I have been disposed to adventure around the world. It was a blessing for me, as this allowed me to interact with various cultures, and absorb various customs. Transitioning from sea to shore, I retired in 2009 to embrace new challenges in marine logistics. As General Manager (Logistics and Operation) at Prantik Group, Bangladesh’s premier marine logistics firm, I spearheaded initiatives that significantly enhanced operational efficiency. My tenure as an Independent Marine Surveyor further enriched my portfolio, providing insights into P&I, H&M, and a spectrum of marine-related matters.After facing my own sons' uncertainty in organizing their futures, I recognized the deficiency in Bangladesh’s schooling system in guiding students after graduation. Therefore, I leveraged my analytical skills to pivot towards educational consultancy. Recognizing the transformative power of guidance, I co-founded DishariPrep, an institution dedicated to empowering students through strategic career planning and international study opportunities.
