As a Marine Captain on board main work barge/construction barge (MWB) my main role and responsibilities is to carry out inspections of marine spreads prior to on-hire and weekly when the spread is at site. Reviewing the anchor pattern and running of anchors at location as per approved anchor pattern.Take charge of berthing/un-berthing of barges, supply boats and crew boat to and out from MWB. Provide advisory role in marine strategic planning. Request bunker as required for the spreads and MWB and record the details in the Daily Progress Report (DPR). Regular inspection on marine spread daily log and tank soundings to check any discrepancies.Ensure all Marine crews on the spreads to comply with HSE requirement. Undertake all marine issues and activities including marine logistics and ensure full compliance to local/international marine REGULATIONS and REQUIREMENTS (SOLAS).Conducting safety briefing and pre-anchor handling tool-box talk with the tug master before starting with anchor handling activities. Report all marine incidents regardless of seriousness at works site to Operation Department/Project Management Team (PMT).Timely liaise with onshore logistics team for any spread movement to site and to ensure spares, provision supply from shore to arrive at site on time.Physically involved in vessel spreads mobilization and demobilization. Responsible to attend all calls related to marine operations 24/7 especially from PMT and last but not least monitor weather at site for safe operation.Beside the above, as a Marine Captain I'm responsible in compiling all documents related to marine operations for future reference (claims). To lock man-hours for all marine spread for project references and to ensure all trading certificates for all marine spread related to the authorities is valid.Reviewing the procedures related to Marine offshore matters. Conduct and ensure all checklists for marine operations are timely monitored.
