Captain Shaik Esmail is a qualified Master Mariner with over 30 of surveying experience in both the Marine and Oil & Gas industries. Started his sailing career in 1975 on board general cargo vessels, bulk carriers, container and crude oil carriers as a Chief Officer and took command on board a container vessel. Joined MatthewsDaniel as a surveyor in 1990 and became the Marine Director for Asia Pacific region tasked with promoting and enhancing marine related work throughout Asia Pacific. General work undertook with MatthewsDaniel:• Tow Approval of dumb barges laden with , pipes, power barges, offshore module, jacket, offshore structure, etc. • Act in the capacity of a Company Man during running of anchors for Drillships, Tender-Assist Rigs and Semi-Submersibles.• Condition and Valuation Survey including Pre-purchase survey of VLCC, container vessels, Anchor Handling Tug & Supply vessels, Mobile Offshore Drilling Units including accommodation barges, cargo barges, FPSOs, land rigs Tender Rigs, etc.• Certified Rig Mover for Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit.• SOMWS member and qualified in the following categories: - Project Cargo. (C) - Oil and Gas Projects. (P) - Rigs / MODU (R)• Loss Adjuster for Oil & Gas Claims• Attend court in a capacity of an Expert Witness for P&I Club and lawyer pertaining to offshore damage, cargo damage, fire damage and cargo stowing.• All P&I related works, specialised in oil pollution matter, casualty investigation of offshore units, etc. including sub-sea power cable, pipeline, loss of anchors.
