Drafting lead for Eastland Shopping Centre with almost 500 drawings for the main structure, and 260 drawings for the Post-Tensioning. The drafting team consisted of 2 to 3 staff in the Melbourne office and up to 6 staff in the Manila Global Excellence Centre (GEC) office, working on the same Revit models via Revit Server. My task is to ensure that the drafting team was fully utilized, give drafting and modeling advice, and training and documentation review before issuing. I traveled to Manila several times over the duration of the project to improve staff through mentoring, modeling training, updated drafting standards manual and documentation representation sessions and obtaining feedback of the difficulties for GEC in order to improve the inter-office relationship and ultimately the productivity and quality of the product coming out of our GEC.At Arcadis I had updated the National CAD Standards manual to include Revit Structures based drafting, driven the drafting side of the Structural national standard details and drawing example documents, rebuilt the National Structural Revit template, improved and developed Revit families for usability Currently I am part of the Arcadis International BIM development team, catching up regularly via Skype to discuss the ongoing development of BIM in Arcadis and establishing the functionality of Arcadis becoming truly Globally resourced.

RBG have delivered many landmark high-rise and prestigious projects throughout the cities of Australia and around the World. In my position of Senior Structural Draftsperson I managed the Structural Drawings in Revit for several large-scale projects including the redevelopment of the old Lonsdale Street Myer and David Jones site, Melbourne Emporium. With well over 300 drawings and almost two full years in the design and development, I finalised this project in the Construction stage of documentation. Also at RBG I was responsible for the further development of Revit in the Melbourne office with the support of RBG’s leading Brisbane office by training staff, problem solving on other Revit projects providing feedback and improvements to the RBG family library and actively involved in to RBG online Revit discussion forums.

Taurean Design was my own small business providing support drafting to companies when their own resources were not able to keep up. The small business completed almost 300 projects ranging from simple support drafting, steel detailing to multi-story residential in AutoCAD or Revit with a support network of up to 6 staff on call.

Dome Consulting specialised in residential and precast factory design with regular multi-story apartments and offices. My duties included producing detailed Structural Drawings for the Engineers computations and final comments, manage and update drafting standards, their details library, coordination with Architects, site inquiries and drafting training of new staff.

Precast Detailers Australia was responsible for the precast detailed drawings for several of Melbourne’s Bayside precast construction companies. There I managed my own projects including multi-story apartments and large security and storage facilities, coordinating with Architects, Engineers and Steel Detailers while dealing with RFI’s from clients and builders on site.
