I was the only deck crew for the duration of my experience on the Patriot, with a two week - 8 guest stay in Freeport, Bahamas. I was able to preform all necessary duties to keep the vessel in the best possible condition. Needing to have an efficient and effective process, I was in charge of the exterior and engine room maintenance.

I was controlling all documents from approval of initial invitation to bid on larger projects all the way to finalizing the submittal packet. In charge of our design department, I prioritized our due dates that correlated with the permits I would submit to the city and state of Florida.

As the Programming Engineer, I quote our customer with efficiency and direct engineering costs once our field employee creates a overall dimensioned template for your customized surfacing needs. I personally design the template on my computer with AutoCAD LT 2013 then which we program into our water jetting system.

During my time here I was the primary contact person between the customer and design team. Customers would contact us with a description of their needs, I would create preliminary designs using Visi3D or AutoCAD and gain approval from tenured engineers to send quotes to the customer. After customers placed their orders, I maintained the BOM (Bill of Materials) on these projects and was charged keeping the ever changing inventory of perishables up to date. After projects were completed, I was charged with creating EDM Math data books for the dyes, that range from 40-100 pages and were kept on file and also sent to the customer for future use. I take great pride in never having fallen behind due dates or project deadlines, delivering a high level of customer service & maintaining good rapport with vendors.

This was mainly an out of office position where four days of my work week were spent travelling to and engaging corporate managers, inspectors and my field installers. The rest of my time was spent designing NFPA regulated suppression systems with AutoCAD for IT rooms, telecommunication rooms, information centers

Being my first position in my desired field, I took on as much responsibility as possible in order for me to learn and grow as an inspiring engineer. I Managed preliminary and initiated production prints while overseeing all ECN’s check prints. Once a week I would organize the ECN/ECR meetings and conference calls to review upcoming revisions for preliminary drawings and quoted bids directly with engineers from large manufactures such as Ford Motor Co, General Motors, etc.Working side by side with the IT Engineers, the Engineering Manager and the Plant manager for the first year out of high school has giving me the motivation, skills and networking capabilities to overcome higher standards in my career as an engineer.
