Senior Line Captain NY Waterway; the country's largest private ferry company, operating a fleet of 34 ferries with ridership in excess of 30,000 passengers per day. With operations centered in and around Manhattan, routes extend from the New Jersey Highlands to the south, northward to the Hudson River Valley. NY Waterway operates traditional (propeller) and JET vessels from 90’ to 130’ with capacities to 499 passengers. Onboard staff ranges from three to seven crew members on average. Duties performed, and are not limited to; Directs the vessel’s activities and operates the vessel safely and efficiently while supervising onboard crew • Serves as the primary contact onboard the vessel with the USCG concerning compliance with laws and regulations • Administers training and drills aboard the vessel, and ensures a high level of customer service is provided, all while directly supervising crew onboard the vessel • The Captain also has a responsibility to provide support to other crew in designated area expertise • Possess specialized knowledge to interpret and apply concepts and theories and make time sensitive decisions regarding personnel and equipment safety • Ensure that the safety of passengers and crew members is maximized through careful and vigorous definition, administration and enforcement of safety policies and guidelines. Coordinate emergency response and protocol with US Department of Homeland Security, USCG, NYPD as well as local and state law enfoecement agencies • Work with Marine Operations to ensure all inspections by the USCG meet the standard insofar as is practicable • Provide comprehensive training to new-hire captains on all the above vessels • Ensure crew are properly uniformed, demonstrate appropriate attitudes, are technically competent in their area of responsibility, that all crewmembers are providing their best efforts, and are using their skills to the company’s best advantage.

Owner and Operator Glades Adventures; Developed concept for and operated Eco Tour attraction in the Kissimmee, Florida (Walt Disney World) area, operating a fleet of six custom built airboats, carrying thousands of satisfied guests monthly. Responsible for day to day operations, hiring and training of staff captains, office staff, led very successful marketing campaigns, responsible for maintenance and repairs of fleet.
