He mediated efforts in the resolution of multi-party conflicts and facilitated the employees of US Airways to ensure equal party status in five-party negotiations over a three-year period producing mutually beneficial results highlighted by over $1.6 billion in economic improvements for the US Airways pilots alone. By encouraging mutual respect and embracing mutually beneficial results, all stakeholders in the merger including the unsecured creditors, the Federal Bankruptcy Courts, the Department of Justice, the management of two airlines and over 100,000 employees were able to create the largest airline in the world, the New American Airlines.

The New American Airlines has indeed enjoyed a safe and peaceful labor integration. • Initiated and consummated a Letter of Understanding between the Company and the Pilot’s Association which provides extended military leave for pilots serving in the armed forces in addition to the military leave required by the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA). • Established and maintain broad contacts with the U.S. aviation industry, federal, state, local government organizations and foreign regulatory authorities. Collaborated with Congressional Members and staff, news media, industry organizations, labor unions, and governmental agencies; specifically, the NTSB, DOT, FAA and DOJ.
