Joseph has significant experience in construction management and oversight with dune restoration and shore protection projects especially concerning contractor oversight, ensuring permit compliance, and tracking progress payments. Additionally he has an extensive background in Numerical Modeling for both upland and coastal applications including Hydrodynamic analysis including pollutant transport modeling, environmental monitoring, and water quality studies, Hydraulic studies including usage of WMS, HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS modeling for floodplain mapping.Joseph’s experience includes the design and management of a multi-million dollar beach nourishment project including borrow area design, construction observation, implemented daily QA/QC checks, and oversaw daily construction operations. He was responsible for training onsite construction observers to complete and log daily turbidity measurements as well as provided continual instruction dictating their daily tasks.Joseph's responsibilities include coastal & metocean data collection which includes conducting and ascertaining bathymetric and topographic surveys using RTK GPS, beach profiles, submerged instrumentation installation and analysis including ADCP's (both Nortek and RDI), tide (both acoustic and pressure), current and wave gauges as well as completing the associated data processing and analysis.He is also responsible for conducting and coordinating various remote sensing surveys including the use of magnetometers, side scan sonar and sub-bottom profilers in conjunction with developing geotechnical investigations for clients. Other duties include the completion of both State and Federal environmental permitting, feasibility, design and coastal hazard studies, cost analysis and preliminary budgets, and permit compliance. Ancillary duties include maintenance of in house marine instrumentation and managing the company's website.
