Hi I’m Cara! I am a recent graduate of Keuka College. I received my BA in Unified Early Childhood Special Education. During my four years at Keuka, I completed four field experiences in various schools in the Syracuse area. I worked with adolescent students, kindergarten general education students, students with disabilities, and an inclusive classroom. All of my courses taken during my college experience and my experiences had at these different locations have given me an incredible amount of knowledge as I move forward in my teaching career. During my four years at Keuka, I was apart of the Womens Cross Country, Vice President to SAAC, secretary to SLS, a member of NSLS, an honors student, recipient of an education award, an admissions ambassador, member of the dean of life student committee, member of Lambda Theta Lambda, and graduated Magna Cum Laude. All of these different areas of involvement on campus have made me more motivated and ambitious throughout my time here, and will carry on as I start the next adventure of my life. I am a current substitute teacher for Prek-1st grade at West Street Elementary school in the Geneva City Central School District. As well, this summer I am a TA for the East Syracuse Minoa Central School District summer school for 2032. I gained a tremendous amount of knowledge during my two student teaching placements, thanks to my wonderful mentors and students. With that said, I will be continuing my education in a MS Literacy program through Keuka College that is anticipated to be completed in July 2023.
