After resigning from my White House political appointment in December 2023 and existing the U.S. Department of State in April 2024, I craved an intellectual challenge. On May 1st I launched The Purple Practice to embark on client partnerships in the world of impact investing, still with a focus on disability innovation and inclusion. I suspect this is going to be one of the most fascinating and fulfilling seasons in my career! As a seasoned disability rights advisor I have excelled at curating strategic public private partnership at the nexus foreign policy, international development and investment and provided strategic counseling on how to lead with impact in humanitarian crisis and disability diplomacy. I love traveling, cooking and public speaking. Across 5 continents, I've lived in 11 countries working with the United Nations and the private sector. To learn more about me and my once in a lifetime expedition on a wild Mustang, watch my TED talk, "The Beautiful Balance Between Courage and Fear" which has been viewed more than 2.6 million times and translated into 27 languages: http://go.ted.com/caraeyarkhanhttps://carayarkhan.com
