Communication skills are a vital part of being any employee. During my freshman work study assignment in the Alumni Relations Office at Queens I was given the opportunity to enhance my communication skills through assignments such as answering the phone, directing calls and helping promote fundraisers to help fund scholarships. During the summer, I became a part of a fast-paced office atmosphere through an internship in the Accounting Department at Rochling Engineered Plastics in Dallas, NC. My responsibilities included contacting past vendors to update information, creating spreadsheets to organize data, and working with other staff to insure Rochling was providing top quality customer service to partner companies. I have also worked with children of all ages through my internship with The Lighthouse Child Advocacy Center, my volunteer work with Autism Charlotte, and my current position as a sales associate for Kixx, a children’s shoe store. I am confident that my experience, communication skills, and abilities in time management and multitasking will make me an asset to any team
