Responsible for managing the startup and operation of a small business dedicated to providing web-based application consulting and educational content for developers.

Led teams, managed and supported projects for over 50 clients, including global oil and gas companies, government agencies and research organizations. Developed and taught courses on pressure-cycle fatigue, pressure testing and crack management; generating a new lines of business for my engineering consulting firm. Provided expertise, engineering analysis and investigational reports on fitness-for-service, pressure testing, defect assessment, cause of failure, remaining life determination, inspection tool performance verification through destructive and non-destructive examination, and integrity assessment planning and evaluation; facilitating regulatory and industry compliance. Built asset management tools containing automated data input and analysis output for repair-replace, defect growth, failure prediction, assessment planning and evaluation, and pressure test pass-fail; most impactful solutions saved companies millions of dollars in projects and potential future operations. Led investigation for the Department of Transportation funded research project, “Development of Comprehensive Pressure Test Design Guidelines”; educated the public, government and industry on integrity and reliability program improvements recommended for the safe operation of pipelines.

Ensured safe operation of over 12,000 miles of liquid and gas pipelines across the contiguous United States. Developed new and streamlined existing policies resulting in quality training, enhanced functionality/usability of in-house tools and improved cross-team communication. Initiated and implemented procedures that resulted in significant immediate and long-term cost savings. Established assessment objectives, evaluated test results and concluded on the presence/absence of leaks. Participated in industry forums, technical committees and projects, including Pipeline Research Council International (PRCI) and American Petroleum Institute (API) Pipeline Information Exchange.
