As Director of Communications, I oversee the development, implementation, and management of an effective Member Communications and Public Relations program for the Washington REALTORS®. I work with a fantastic team to help provide recommendations to the our leadership, committees and CEO on policies and courses of action which would achieve the Association's communications purpose, goals, and policies.The fun stuff:-Editor in Chief of Association print and digital publications.-Oversee the functionality and content of the Association website(s).-Oversee video production and distribution.-Oversee digital communications, including mass email distribution.-Administer social networking implementation and regulation. -Assist the Education & Member Services Department with education/event promotion.-Attend WR and NAR meetings and programs and help provide a communication link between the local, state and national associations.

My current duties are central to communicating member services, industry news, resources, and tools to 22,000+ Washington REALTORS and Affiliates. As Art Director and Managing Editor for RE Magazine, a 24-32 page publication designed to provide interesting articles and resources for our membership, I manage production schedules and advertising schedules, I contact and collect articles from contributors, create layout and design and also handle print delivery. I administrate the company's e-mail marketing communications, including Get the Facts (our weekly e-newsletter). My duties also include designing graphics for some of our other print publications and work on collaborative projects with other departments and local offices. I oversee our social media presence, our ongoing web development project while heading up our digital publishing projects as well.Our team also produces a weekly 2-3 minute video production for our membership. This means on any given week, I can be involved in filming, graphics, voice overs, editing footage, and rendering final projects for distribution.

Provided direct administrative and marketing support to the Vice President of Commercial Construction, the President of Commercial Real Estate & Land Development, and the Real Estate Sales Associates in form preparation and listing presentations. Managed company property listings in several listing services, prepared property update and leasing reports, general office including credit card reconciliation, calendar scheduling, filing, answering phones, office/kitchen supply ordering, mail handling, and other tasks as assigned.
