Recent employment in the hospitality industry has allowed me to gain skills in customer service, whilst understanding food hygiene and being aware of allergies. I was entrusted with managerial responsibilities such as cashing up, opening and closing, delegating roles and helping to train new staff. My degree has expanded my interest in different societies, past and present, local and global. I am drawn to the role of women in society and have focused my dissertation on exploring the intersection of medical ignorance, religious superstition, and persecution for witchcraft.
