Served as the primary liaison between the USO World Headquarters and the various elements of regional military commands as well as the various host nation governments. • Implemented sustainability models within the various facilities and lead the initial CSR initiatives for USO in the SWA region. • Developed and mentored a team of 20 staff and 350 volunteers focused on the delivery of quality of life programs.• Managed comprehensive regional components of celebrity entertainment tours of Hollywood stars, top musicians and bands, and professional athletes to remote locations.• Managed an annual operating budget of $8 million.Key Achievements• Lead negotiations with U.S. government to receive and manage assets in-kind that allowed the organization to vastly increase program and service delivery exponentially.• Managed all protocol and logistical requirements for visits such as (President George Bush, President Bill Clinton, President Jimmy Carter as well as the highest levels of military leadership and celebrities, and multiple sports personalities)• Liaised with senior host-nation government officials to allow the USO to develop operations without typical operating expenses resulting in an annual savings of $850K.• Project managed the development and launch of USO locations throughout the region and coined the term “USO in a Box” so that we could support troops in locations it was not safe for us to access. • Developed and implemented, through coordination with the UAE hospitality pool, a USO specific recreational reservation system allowing the organization to effectively manage and track the thousands of deployed personnel while on leave in the region. This system served as the basis for a contract award providing the primary revenue stream for the organization.

(food/clothing/entertainment) This operation resulted in an annual average of $3 million in commissionable sales creating an organizational sustaining revenue stream. • Developed a sustainable materials management system. • Negotiated preferential rates with more than 75 hotel and entertainment vendors to pool the buying power of U.S. personnel in Dubai and offer competitive rates for service members booking more than 45000 room nights, tours, and waterpark passes annually. • Coordinated all activities with State Department and Department of Defense offices ensuring Force Protection requirements were maintained. • Recruited, trained and evaluated employees to meet the needs of the organization. • Project managed the relocation of all facilities in the 20-building compound designated Jebel Ali in its entirety in 1998 & 2004 maintaining service through the transition.
