Supporting the organizational users with Technical IT support. my daily responsibilities included:• Good communication, customer service and interpersonal skills• Installation of the company’s computer hardware operating systems and applications• Logging the queries from all employees through a ticketing application.• Able to work on my own initiative and confidence to raise and flag issues that impact service delivery.• Analysis of query logs in order to discover any underlying issues or trends.• Diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.• Responding to all queries from company staff in a timely manner internal and external• Following instructions, either written or in diagram form, in order to set up a system or fix a fault.

I was a Sales Assistant in Primark Dublin for a 6 month period where I got to learn a great amount of new skills also use the skills that I had learned in my previous roles. My experience working for Primark was very fun and enjoyable as I got to meet some amazing people and work with the public which is what I love to do. I would like to go back and work for the company again as I found their is great opportunities for the staff to grow and that is what I look for in choosing a career.

In my role, I provided support and assistance to all Internal and External Counter-parties and departments. My time spent with SLAM has given me an introduction to the world of Securities Lending. I was generally involved in middle office roles which allowed me to start at the very beginning giving me a key understanding and knowledge I needed to do my role. I got to work with amazing people during my time; I connected with my clients through emails and on the telephone, exchanging trade details, cash amounts to cover exposures and collateral stock. I also experienced one dividend season, the busiest period of the year for any settlements team and acted as an important part of the team for 6 months. My experience gained in SLAM led me to understand how important trades need to settle on time without any hassle.

During my time in settlements I worked across Stock Loan and Cash Equity Trading platforms within the European domestic markets. After 10 weeks I gained the understanding of how every European market was dealt with, in detail. Such as understanding the importance of strict time deadlines and interacting with other teams such as SL Trade Support, SLAM and Posman. I really enjoyed my experience in settlements, I learned so much from all the colleagues on the team.
