Assistant ManagerEvereve Jun 2013 - Aug 2014Wheaton, Illinois, United StatesI worked as a part time stylist for three months and was promoted to Assistant Manager. I was promoted because my sales numbers were much higher than our 40 plus hour employees along with my outstanding ability to create client relationships. I had a customer come in on a snowy Sunday and she was the only in the store, at the time. It was obvious that she had cancer and she said she just wanted “ little puck me up.” So, she picked out some items to try on and once I saw her style, I did the same. She spent three hours trying on clothes and opened up about her illness. She left happy with her purchases and became a regular, loyal customer. I had another customer come in with his wife and he wanted to buy her some leggings. They had not heard of our store so I spent time showing them around and telling them about our concept and how it originated. We had so much fun, they left after spending $2300. When he got home he wrote a letter to the corporate office, letting them know that he was so impressed with the service he received and the genuine staff that he didn’t realize until they got back to Indiana that “he’d spent $2300 on leggings.” His wives sister’s became clients in our Oakbrook store and he placed online and phone orders for other family members all year long. They came in to the store not knowing what we sold and left as life long clients. Kindness, attention to someone’s needs and respect are priceless!I believe in the products that I sell, but more importantly I believe that a satisfied client is the only way to grow any business and create lifetime clientele. A clients satisfaction goes far beyond their initial purchase. When my clients realize that I am more interested in their happiness with their purchase rather than how much they purchased. By doing this, I gain their trust and loyalty to our brand and they almost always become repeat customers.
