Since I began my teaching career, I have gained a wide range of experience in teaching, leadership, and meeting the needs of diverse learners. Most of my teaching experience has taken place in the Elementary collaborative model, where I have been exposed to unique and individual learning styles that required me to differentiate my instruction to meet the needs of all children. I am currently serving as an educational specialist in the Stepping Stones preschool program at the Atlanta Speech School. I serve children ages three to five years of age where I use a variety of visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and tactile techniques. Prior to this position, I taught second grade in the co-taught setting where I focused on reading and mathematics intervention. During this time, I completed the 70-hour Orton Gillingham Teacher Training and Wilson Fundations training. I love to build relationships with children, their families, and my teaching team members. I also enjoy building a strong classroom culture and helping all learners reach their fullest potential.
