For my Kinesiology degree at Longwood University, I was required to complete a 320 hour internship. My responsibilities for this role included taking blood pressure and range of motion measurements during initial evaluations , I developed exercise programs in conjunction with the physical therapists for patients, created an informational poster for patients with benign paroxysmal positional vertigo that had to undergo a Dix-Hallpike and Epley maneuver, and assisted with typing SOAP notes and filling out treatment logs for patients that the physical therapists were working with.

For this role I arranged initial evaluation appointments for patients over the phone and in person, handled phone calls from insurance companies regarding patient visits and coverage, assisted physical therapists by helping their patients with exercises, and supplied moist heat packs and ice packs for patients before and after treatment sessions.

Explained sales and promotions to customers. Picked out clothing items that suited the customer's needs. Checked out guest on the register.

Prepped food for the residents and took their orders. Brought them their lunch and dinner that they ordered. Cleaned the dinning room after meals.
