As a trained and experienced set designer I worked across film, television, visual merchandising and prop design, however at the end of a project these sets were always dismantled. I came to realise that my passion lay in creating spaces that were for more than entertainment - now as I retrain to work in residential interior design I have the joy of helping people make their homes sing. Our homes can often feel dark, cluttered or unloved. Or else they seem okay, but we just don’t love our interior space. Furniture might not be right for its setting, or it’s finally time to rip out an old kitchen or build that extension. Other times we need a total redecoration but don’t where to start, what to keep and what to discard, or how to make the rooms flow together. This is where I come in - my skills lie in understanding how we use our homes, and how space, light and colour can change that. I have a great eye for design and a solid understanding of how to design spaces to maximise their function.I come to your home with an open mind, not my own agenda. I can work with you on the big and small stuff, from total renovation to redecorating individual rooms. I am available for consultation into decoration schemes, window treatments or colour palettes for your home.
