For the spring semester, I worked with Virginia Tech's Prison Book Project, assisting with major functions of the program. VT PBP was started in 2021 to provide books to incarcerated readers as a form of educational justice. Prison Book Project sponsors fundraisers, book fairs, book drives, and wrapping parties in order to accomplish this goal. In my role, I helped outline future growth, organize book inventory, respond to letters, wrap books, answer student questions, and write the monthly newsletter.In the fall, I served as the GTA for an asynchronous section of Intro to African American studies, with over 100 students enrolled. My core responsibility is grading and providing feedback on student work in a timely fashion.

I served as a peer mentor for first year students through the VT School of Communication's First Semester Experience class. In this course, we help the students make the transition to college by helping them create a four year plan, providing various panels, and giving feedback on assignments.
