I have 30 years of professional experience in technical sales, manufacturing, operations, and environmental sustainability. Today I am focused on producing and selling millions and billions of diamonds made from sequestered carbon to reverse the effects of climate change. My work in sustainability began in 1994 with the Long Island Sound Taskforce, organizing water quality testing to restore dissolved oxygen to waters plagued by low oxygen levels that led to a catastrophic collapse of the Sound's fisheries. After presenting our research to the U.S. Congress, we won passage of funding for a $351m project to upgrade sewage treatment plants to protect the health of this important marine estuary that contributed to $6.4bn worth of regional economic activity. In 2006 I sold the first independently certified lab-grown diamond ring at the JCK Show. As Dir. of Sales for Hoover & Strong, I helped develop the Harmony Precious Metals & Gems brand of independently certified 100% recycled gold, platinum, palladium, and silver loved by thousands of manufacturers and retailers globally. In 2010 I led a 5-year effort to launch the first certified 100% recycled gold & diamond "Made In The USA" bridal collection with the world’s largest retailer. In 2020, I served on the committee that wrote the first Diamond Sustainability Standard for Scientific Certification Systems, Inc. In 2024 I launched The Carbon Negative Diamond Company (https://www.carbonnegative.diamonds/ ) to promote the sale of millions and billions of Diamonds made of carbon sequestered from greenhouse gases to reverse the effects of human-caused climate change.
