Cesar A. Arcasi-Matta, M.Sc. Email and Phone Number
With a strong interdisciplinary research background, I adeptly integrate principles from biology, chemistry, and physics. My expertise encompasses molecular biology, biochemistry, and biotechnology, where I leverage advanced biophysical and biochemical techniques to drive innovation. I am dedicated to pushing the boundaries of translational science, research, and development, delivering impactful solutions at the forefront of academia. As a PhD student in the UC San Diego Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics program, my research centers on the molecular mechanisms of mRNA translation, encompassing all stages of the process. In the Joseph Lab, part of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, I employ innovative techniques to monitor translation in vivo, primarily through mRNA sequencing. My approach combines molecular biology, biochemistry, and genomics to gain a deeper understanding of the intricate processes that regulate protein synthesis. Through this research, I aim to advance our understanding of translation by developing cutting-edge methodologies.
