Senior cardiologist in a team of 6 consultants working with the paediatric / GUCH cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons in the university teaching hospital centre. Innovative approaches including the first UK use of catheter RF ablations as curative treatment for arrhythmias, and hidden pacemaker implants in women.

Clinical cardiology, set up electrophysiology unit and devised new pacing techniques. Developed interventions including perfusion angioplasty and balloon valvotomy, adult and paediatric. Research on ablation and pacemaker technology.

Clinical cardiology, pacing (first UK transvenous LV pacing), ICD (first UK implant), ablation, coronary angiography & angioplasty. Research on pacemaker technology (designing first implantable anti-tachycardia PM), anti-arrhythmic drugs, interventional procedures.
