I’m excited to get started in my new role as a Senior Planner with the Aging and Disability Services section at the City of Seattle. I’ll be working to improve delivery of case management and other services for thousands of older adults and people with disabilities in King County.

Investigated COVID outbreaks in long term care settings. Provided facility staff with resources and infection control advice. Tracked known infections and deaths.

I led a variety of process improvements across UWNC’s twelve primary care and eight urgent care sites. I managed the exploration of a new service line (retail clinics) and improved multiple clinic flows. My work allowed more effective billing and led to higher patient satisfaction scores.

I managed medium and long-term projects in Harborview's outpatient clinics and allied care department (Employee Health, Interpreter Services, Social Work, etc.). Major focus areas were Meaningful Use, Patient-Centered Medical Home recognition, clinic flow analysis, and disaster preparedness.

I managed chronic disease programming for all of SeaMar's community health centers, currently in ten counties in western WA. My team included 25+ staff members who coordinate care for patients dealing with chronic medical and/or behavioral health. (This position was eliminated due to an organizational restructuring.)

I managed all facets of projects intended to bring evidence based clinical practices to Seattle Children's Hospital. I workedwith teams of physicians, nurses, IT analysts, and more, to make sure our improved care processes work well for staff and show measurably improved outcomes for our patients.

PHISI was a collaborative effort to build a health information exchange program among safety net healthcare providers in King County, WA. The system was intended to improve care coordination, lower costs, and improve health outcomes for low income residents of the county. The Bree Collaborative is a group of public and private healthcare stakeholders from across Washington State. Members are appointed by the Governor and work by identifying healthcare services with high geographic variation in cost and utilization, then working with experts to form recommendations on best practices to reduce those variations. I led the first months of this work and facilitated the first workgroup, which produced recommendations on obstetric practices. PHISI and the Bree Collaborative were both administered by the Foundation for Health Care Improvement.
